Turnpike routing prototype for emergency-response use, built around mileposts, interchanges, service areas, emergency gates, Z-turns, and U-turn access points.
This tool is intended for operational planning and quick route reference.
For use by authorized individuals or departments only.
Route Inputs
Current
If you enter 7, 7A, or 8 here, the tool will treat that as Exit 7, Exit 7A, or Exit 8.
This list includes mapped interchanges, service areas, and special area references currently loaded in the tool.
Destination
Choose the service area by name. The tool will use the mapped service-area milepost and direction rules.
Route Result
Enter the current and destination details, then press “Find Best Route.”
Turnpike structure model
Main line north-south core runs from the Delaware Memorial Bridge area to the George Washington Bridge approach.
Dual-dual roadway logic applies between Exit 6 and Exit 14, where inner roadways are cars only and outer roadways carry cars, trucks, and buses.
The northern split requires separate treatment for the easterly or original line and the westerly I-95 line.
The Pennsylvania Extension, Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension, and final non-tolled I-95 section need branch-aware routing rather than a single linear milepost model.
Current route data in this prototype
This version accepts mile-marker routing across approximately MP 1.0 through MP 121.2.
Northbound and southbound Z-turn arrays have been expanded from your complete lists.
The U-turn list you provided has been loaded into the route engine as directional reversal points.
Off-Turnpike starts can use a manual entry point, an EMS or fire headquarters approximation, or an emergency gate.
Named service areas are now available as starting references and destination choices.
Interchange coordinate data has been added for the main line, Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension, northern split, and Florence Toll Plaza.
